New Bethany Ministries – Souper Day

New Bethany Ministries, in its 32nd year of service to the Lehigh Valley, encompasses programs that provide basic services (food support, clothing, referral services, financial management, permanent housing for men and women, wellness services, and transitional and permanent housing for homeless families) to those most in need. An interfaith-based nonprofit agency, our mission is to provide opportunities for a secure future to the homeless, hungry, poor and mentally ill in the Lehigh Valley. New Bethany Ministries has many novel programs, including the only free, public showers in the entire Lehigh Valley, being one of the only Transitional Housing Programs in the Valley that allow both parents to live together with their children, and operating the only five-day-a-week, 8:00-4:00 Food Pantry in the Valley.
Quadrant is proud to be one of the sponsors of New Bethany Ministries’ 26th Annual Souper Day event which will be held on Tuesday, October 17th at 12:00pm at the Event Center at Blue. The annual event is a major fundraiser for the organization, who has impacted over 100,000 individuals over 32 years of operation. Thanks to the generosity of the Event Center at Blue, virtually 100% of the program’s proceeds go directly to New Bethany’s services.
The yearly event features a modest soup and salad lunch, meant to highlight the more than 62,000 people who are food insecure in the Valley. With food programs including one of the only Meal Centers open Monday-Friday and the only Food Pantry open Monday-Friday 8:00-4:00 in the Valley, New Bethany Ministries serves almost 10% of the area’s food insecure population annually.
The Souper Day Program will feature Keynote Speaker Ashley Russo, two-time Emmy® winning executive producer, host of The PEAK TV and president of ASR Media Productions . Additionally, the program will feature stories of success from two program graduates, discussing the impact New Bethany’s programs have had on their lives.
