Equestrian Connection – Marty’s Barn Party

Quadrant is happy to be a supporter of Equestrian Connection and more specifically, Marty’s Barn Party.

Marty’s Barn Party began in 2006 when Marty Domitrovich, board member, wanted to showcase Equestrian Connection’s new 26,000 square foot equine therapy center to the community and raise funds to complete the construction.  While battling pancreatic cancer for 7 years, Marty played a significant role in the fund raising and organization while on the board.  Sadly Marty lost his battle with cancer, but his memory and impact live on as does this great annual fall tradition.

For this event, Equestrian Connection converts its 16,000 square foot arena into an elegant carpeted seating area for dinner and top of the line entertainment for the evening.  Guests don their favorite western wear as they bid on auction items and purchase raffle tickets to help support the over 400 weekly therapy visits Equestrian Connection provides to those with special needs ages 2 to 105.  Past performers include, Martina McBride, Kenny Loggins, Dennis DeYoung and Keb Mo’.  In 2017, Country Music singer Sara Evans and her band will be highlighting the event.

Equestrian Connection is located in Lake Forest, IL and was founded in 2001 to provide much needed equine, art, and various other therapies to those with special needs including Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia and Traumatic Brain Injury.  Now one of the largest equine therapy centers in the nation, it has recently added non-mounted psychological assisted programs to help veterans combat PTSD and others facing mental health issues.  For more information, visit www.equestrianconnection.org.
