Easterseals of Lehigh Valley – Mary Ellen Golf Tournament

Members of our Quadrant team have been ardent supporters of the Easter Seals of Eastern PA’s Mary Ellen Golf Tournament for over 20 years.
Now in its 48th year, the Mary Ellen Golf Tournament is the longest running and most profitable charity golf tournament in the Lehigh Valley. It provides Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania with the funding needed to ensure that children with disabilities can access needed services such as early intervention; physical, occupational and speech therapies; family respite; summer camping; and more. Proceeds from the event makes it possible to ensure that affordability is not a factor for families when it comes to accessing critical services their children need to live happy, productive and healthy lives. Easterseals Eastern PA serves families in the Lehigh Valley and Berks County. The golf tournament is scheduled for Monday, September 25th at Willow Brook Golf Club in Catasauqua, PA.
Mary Ellen Gasdaska provided the inspiration for the golf tournament. Mary Ellen was born in 1954 with spina bifida and in 1956 her parents, Bill and Eleanor, turned to Easter Seals for help. In appreciation for everything Easter Seals did for Mary Ellen, Bill and three of his friends, Lou Mutarelli, Tony Esposito and John Puchalla, decided to hold a golf tournament with all the proceeds benefiting Easter Seals. That was 48 years ago!
